Full Day Care

We are delighted to confirm as of Easter 2025, Buttercup Childcare is now registered as a Full Day Care Service (FDC).  Our full day care service is offering childcare for children from age 24 months to 13 years old.  Our full day care service will operate from 8.30am to 5.30pm (9-hour days) with the option of a wraparound service adding an extra hour in the morning, (7.30-8.30am) or an extra 45 min. in the evening, (5.30-6.15pm).  From 8.45am to 1.45pm we provide a part time 5-hour preschool service accommodating children aged from 2 years and 5 months old.  School age childcare (SAC) then begins from 1.40 and 2.40pm providing supervised homework support followed by lots of fun and games with age-appropriate activities for the various age ranges. 

We have no doubt this new service with 56 full day care places will benefit the community greatly where families and working parents find it very difficult to secure childcare and childminders which has been a massive challenge as parents try to return to the workplace.  All childcare enquires should be made through our website enquiry form: https://app.eccesoftware.com/externalEnquiries.aspx?BranchID=Mzk0MQ%3D%3D

FDC priority is given to those who book 5 days (age 2-3yrs, minimum 5 days only)

Preschool priority is given to those who book 5 part time days, 5-hr days.  (Year 2 ECCE minimum 5 days only).

SAC priority is given to those who book 5 days weekly with a booking from 1.40 or 2.40 to 5.40pm daily. (anyone requiring a 1.40 or 2.40 to 4.10pm booking will have to book a minimum of 3 days per week). Minimum of 2 days per week is required for every other booking. 

 Deposit to secure your place:

The full day care deposit has been set at €300 per child. This will secure your place for as long as you need a place. This deposit is fully refundable and can be offset against fees coming to the end of your childcare with Buttercup Childcare.

Childcare place cancellation, before your child starts:

Should you no longer want your childcare place your deposit will be refunded in full if we have 6 full calendar months’ notice. 50% with 3 full calendar months’ notice and no deposit will be refunded with less than 3 full calendar months’ notice.
